Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly does an RN Care Manager do?
An RN Care Manager serves as your professional guide through the complex eldercare landscape. We conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, coordinate communication between multiple medical specialists, manage medication lists, oversee home care providers, and advocate for your loved one during hospital stays or transitions into senior living. We bridge the gap between healthcare systems and daily well-being.

How does an RN Care Manager differ from a traditional senior care coordinator?
The difference lies in advanced clinical training. Because our team is led by Lisa Brady, who holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) alongside her RN and Care Manager Certification (CMC), we bring a deep understanding of complex disease processes, medications, and clinical warning signs. Non-medical coordinators can handle logistics, but an RN Care Manager can spot subtle changes in a senior’s physical or cognitive health to intervene early—often preventing unnecessary hospitalizations.
We already have a home health aide or facility staff. Do we still need your services?
Yes. Home health aides and facility staff provide excellent daily hands-on care, but they do not manage or oversee the broader strategic care plan. We do not replace your daily care team; instead, we supervise them, ensure orders are being followed correctly, communicate updates directly to physicians, and provide independent oversight to ensure your loved one is receiving elite-level care.
How do your services support long-distance families?
We act as your local, on-the-ground eyes and ears. If you live out of town, we attend medical appointments, manage local home care agencies, respond swiftly to sudden emergencies, and provide you with real-time, professional clinical updates so you can rest assured your parent is completely supported.
Are care management services covered by Medicare or health insurance?
Eldercare management is a highly specialized private-pay service and is generally not covered by Medicare or traditional health insurance. However, some long-term care insurance policies may reimburse for professional care management assessments and oversight. We recommend checking with your specific policy provider.
